Green Tea Rice Ball
Tea Rice:
Ingredients
- 3 rice measuring cups of rice (3合)
- 2 Tbsp of Sencha Fukamushi
- 2 Tbsp water (or sesame oil*)
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
Step 1: Place 2 Tbsp of Sencha Fukamushi in a cup or small bowl and add 2 tsp of salt and 2 Tbsp of water (or sesame oil). Place in the fridge to allow the leaves to soften.
Step 2: Cook 3 rice cups of rice in a rice cooker.
Step 3: Once the rice is finished cooking, mix the softened tea leaves into the rice.
Step 4: Close the lid to the rice cooker and let sit for another 5 minutes.
*Use sesame oil instead of water to give the rice a stronger, roasted flavor.

- 1 green onion
- 1 tsp sake(料理酒)
- 1 tsp chicken stock powder
- Lemon juice to taste
- A pinch of pepper
- Sesame seeds
