Description

Mizuki Matcha is a true embodiment of excellence in the world of Japanese green tea. "Mizuki" means celebration, happiness, fresh, and beautiful. It was chosen to represent a beautiful green tea field and perfectly describes this incredible ceremonial grade matcha from Yame, Fukuoka. Thick and creamy, this matcha is intensely nutty in aroma and flavor, similar to fresh pine nuts. It's rich in umami and has no astringency. When it's gone, it leaves a lingering steamed milk finish.

Delicious matcha. They delivered it really fast, the packaging was very careful and it had a handwritten note, even they send occasional small gifts. Incredible attention to detail. The matcha is super bright green, smells nutty and delicious. The tin it comes in seals very well. Everything is just of the highest quality, thanks!

We are new to Matcha. I bought a few tins from other places. I was kind of disappointed. Since we enjoyed the preperation so much I thought I would try one more brand. I am so glad I did. This Matcha is wonderful. We really enjoy it.

Sugimoto Reserve Mizuki Matcha

If I were to describe this matcha in 3 words they would be nutty, creamy, and clean. The powder is bright green and very fine, so it it blends well and makes a thick drink with plenty of foam. This matcha was reminiscent of baby spinach and macadamia nuts with a touch of umami and slight creamy taste that does not coat the tongue - making for a clean finish. If you prefer your matcha light and creamy rather than rich and umami, than this matcha might be up your ally.
