Sencha Fukamushi

Great quality for everyday green tea. I drink tea everyday and couple times a day, so this is good quality with good cost performance.

You awaken, opening your heavy eyes to a warm, humid morning in the tea fields of rural japan. Beams of light stream through your blinds, speckling your room with the mornings first light. You walk to your back door, slide open the delicate paper door, and bathe in the golden radiance of the sun as it imbues you with purpose as you inhale the sweet ether of the mountains. You begin your day by placing your stone teapot on the coals, and meditating as the water warms. Breathing in the life of presence, and exhaling the troubles of yesterday, you poor yourself a cup of Sencha Fukamushi. The sweet aroma and rich vegetal flavor are comforting, delicious, vibrant, and filled with passion. You are complete. This tea is the best green tea I've ever had and if I had to drink two teas for the rest of my life, it would be this and the Hojicha sold by sugimoto.

Simply it is the best. I was not sure the quality so I ordered many different sample packs first. This Fukamushi was the best for me. Well, let me tell you about the packaging. When I got the sample packs, there was a hand written message card with the package. HAND WRITTEN!!!! Who does that? I do appreciate this personal touch. Oh I am in love with tea company. I enjoyed other tea packs but this one has rich aroma and dark taste yet nice and smooth. As soon as I finished my sample packs I ordered this bulk size. And again with the hand written message!! Thank you very much for your time and I will definitely order more in the future.

I love all green tea, but for several years have especially loved Sencha. I get several steepings from the Fukamushi and enjoy it all day. The first steeping is always vibrant, a bit astringent, and tastes so good. The following steepings also hold up very well. I highly recommend all of Sugimoto Senchas.

The best loose leaf green tea. Have been a big fan of Sugimoto’s Fukamushi style Sencha for more than five years. Truly, every experience I’ve had with this particular green tea, has been spectacular. If you are a fan of green tea and prefer it as a loose leaf than in a tea bag. Look no further, you’ve arrived.

Being Japanese (all my life!), I have been drinking tea for many years. I have had many types of tea over the years, good and bad. I enjoy my tea, but I am a practical person. My wife drinks this SF tea daily, I drink it 3-4 times/week. This tea from Sugimoto, for me, strikes an excellent balance of flavor, aroma and richness vs cost. We enjoy it often and can afford to do so. Recommend highly!
